For the last three years we have been researching the theme "Ways towards a meditative experience of tone and the essence of the individual tone”. On this, subject conferences with Adam Thomas, Lothar Reubke and Elmar Lampson took place; publications of their research appear in the magazine Zeitschrift die Drei (Jan. and Oct. 2010). For us, this question of the nature of the individual tone has become a key issue of present and future musical life. We believe that today, technical virtuosity, and pure emotional expression, requires an absolute qualitative relationship with the individual tone.
